Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
- Answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients, making thoughtful recommendations when appropriate.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using our Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all details are correctly captured.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally to guests, ensuring dishes are presented attractively and correctly.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to all requests, proactively addressing any concerns.
- Clear tables efficiently between courses and after meals, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and manage end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation and assist with general restaurant cleanliness.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bar staff, and other team members to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
- Address guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and restaurant operational standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area, as assigned by management.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg) comfortably
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate order taking and payment processing
- Team player attitude and willingness to support colleagues to ensure collective success
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) as a waiter/server in a full-service restaurant or similar hospitality setting
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems commonly used in restaurants
- Knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and beverages is a significant advantage
- Ability to speak additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a plus
- Relevant hospitality certification or training (e.g., customer service, food safety)
