Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and guide them to their tables, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Provide detailed information on our extensive menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to all service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to inquiries or requests, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table settings, glassware, and cutlery.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions with integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and hygiene standards set by local authorities.
- Assist in training new team members and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English or French, with an eagerness to learn both.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly, engaging demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service principles and etiquette.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or able to obtain appropriate work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Server in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant environment (6+ months).
- Bilingualism in English and French is highly advantageous for interacting with our diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of Quebecois cuisine and local beverages, including wine and craft beers.
- Hospitality or culinary arts certification from a recognized institution.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and serving international guests.
