Job Description
Are you a talented and highly motivated video editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling? Insight Creative is seeking a skilled Remote Video Editor for freelance project-based work. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with our creative team on a variety of engaging video projects, ranging from short-form social media content and promotional videos to longer-form narratives and explainer videos for our diverse client base, which spans technology, education, non-profit, and consumer goods sectors.
As a Freelance Video Editor, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, transforming raw footage into polished, impactful, and visually stunning videos that resonate with target audiences. You will be responsible for all aspects of post-production, including initial assembly, rough cuts, fine cuts, color correction, audio mixing and mastering, motion graphics integration, and final output in various formats optimized for different platforms. We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage their time effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines while maintaining open lines of communication. Your ability to understand a project’s objectives, creatively interpret briefs, and provide innovative solutions that align with brand guidelines will be crucial to your success in this role.
This position demands a high level of proficiency in industry-standard editing software, a strong understanding of video production workflows from pre-production through post-distribution, and a robust portfolio that showcases your versatility and expertise across different video styles and project types. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, high-quality final videos according to project briefs and client specifications.
- Perform color correction, sound design, audio mixing, and incorporate motion graphics/text animations.
- Collaborate with creative directors and project managers to understand project goals and deliver compelling visual narratives.
- Manage and organize media assets, ensuring efficient workflow and version control.
- Incorporate feedback effectively and iterate on edits to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and delivery deadlines.
- Research and implement best practices in video editing, storytelling, and digital content trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, storytelling, and pacing.
