Skroutz S.A. is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Remote Software Tester to join our growing product and engineering teams. As a Remote Software Tester at Skroutz, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the high standards of our platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across various applications, including web, mobile, and backend services. Your work will directly contribute to a seamless and trustworthy experience for millions of users who rely on Skroutz for their shopping needs. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and security testing as needed.
- Verify resolved bug fixes and ensure overall product quality before release.
- Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress and defect metrics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer (at least 3 years).
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with manual testing techniques and test case design.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Proficiency in using issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports and test plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman or Insomnia.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience working in an e-commerce environment.
- ISTQB certification or similar.
