Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive linguistic quality assurance (LQA) tests on games, software, and digital content.
  • Identify and accurately report all linguistic bugs, including translation errors, grammatical mistakes, typos, stylistic inconsistencies, and cultural inappropriateness.
  • Verify the correct display of localized text within the user interface, ensuring proper formatting, truncation, and layout.
  • Adhere strictly to project-specific style guides, glossaries, and terminology databases.
  • Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on localization quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers and localization teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Utilize bug tracking databases and other relevant software tools efficiently.
  • Meet project deadlines and maintain a high standard of quality in all assigned tasks.

Required Skills

  • Native-level fluency in English and at least one other language (e.g., French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in all languages of expertise.
  • Proficiency in identifying and articulating linguistic errors.
  • Basic understanding of video game mechanics and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office environment.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and digital platforms (PC, console, mobile).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in localization, translation, linguistic QA, or content testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and CAT tools.
  • A strong passion for video games and digital entertainment.
