Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Finance Manager to join our dynamic Accounting Division. This critical role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute significantly to our financial strategy and operational excellence from anywhere within the United States, while ensuring alignment with our Colorado-based team’s operational hours and collaboration needs. As a Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing complex financial reporting, comprehensive analysis, strategic budgeting, and robust forecasting processes across various business units. You will take the lead in managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals, providing invaluable guidance and fostering their development, all while ensuring the utmost accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting division's financial reporting and analysis functions.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of financial performance.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting division to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with internal audit, external auditors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital management activities as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling) and financial management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a remote or hybrid environment.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MS in Finance or Accounting).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials).
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
