Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans.
- Administer medications accurately and safely, adhering to Trust policies and NMC guidelines.
- Perform clinical procedures competently, including wound care, vital sign monitoring, and venepuncture.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families regarding their care and condition.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring dignity, respect, and patient rights are upheld.
- Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and team meetings, contributing to care planning and decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants.
- Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or eligibility to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both written and verbal.
