Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans according to established nursing standards and HCA Healthcare policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering strictly to dosage, route, and time protocols.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, symptoms, medical information, and responses to interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing critical care and support as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Idaho.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for EHR documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- One year of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Specialty certifications (e.g., PALS, NIHSS, TNCC).
