This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of a world-renowned property, maintaining critical cooling systems that are vital to our guest experience and culinary operations.
As our Refrigeration Technician, you will be the cornerstone of our refrigeration and HVAC systems’ reliability. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our guest rooms remain perfectly cooled, our kitchens and bars operate with precise temperature control for food safety and beverage quality, and all our cold storage units function flawlessly. This hands-on role involves much more than just repairs; it requires a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, meticulous troubleshooting, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of various refrigeration and air conditioning units, from installation and commissioning to routine servicing, emergency repairs, and system upgrades. This includes working with a diverse range of equipment such as walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, split-unit air conditioners, VRV/VRF systems, and commercial kitchen refrigeration units. Your ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, interpret schematics, and execute effective, lasting repairs will be paramount.
At Rockhouse, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional, authentic Jamaican experience. This means every aspect of our property must perform flawlessly. Your role will directly impact guest satisfaction by preventing discomfort from malfunctioning AC units and ensuring our award-winning restaurants can serve fresh, high-quality ingredients. You will work closely with other maintenance staff, kitchen teams, and front office to coordinate your activities, minimize disruption, and respond swiftly to any technical challenges.
We are looking for someone who not only possesses strong technical acumen but also embodies a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. If you are ready to bring your valuable skills to a tropical paradise and become an integral part of a legacy of excellence, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity with Rockhouse Hotel.
