Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Efficiently manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, confirming, and sending timely reminders.
  • Accurately register new patients, update existing patient demographics, and verify insurance information.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls, taking detailed messages and directing inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Process patient payments, issue clear and accurate receipts, and meticulously manage daily cash reconciliation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records, personal information, and sensitive hospital data.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic medical records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and ease of accessibility.
  • Promptly retrieve and file patient charts and documents as requested by medical staff.
  • Provide patients with general information, answer common questions, and expertly direct them to appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organized, and presentable at all times, reflecting the hospital's commitment to order.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and coordination of care.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries for the department.
  • Perform various other essential clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clarity and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
