Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and cultivate new client relationships through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to understand client needs and recommend suitable mortgage products.
- Educate clients on various mortgage options, rates, terms, and the application process.
- Gather and review all necessary financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for loan applications.
- Collaborate closely with internal partners, including underwriters and processors, to facilitate efficient loan approvals and closings.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current market conditions, interest rates, and regulatory requirements.
- Achieve and exceed defined sales targets for mortgage originations and related financial products.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company policies, compliance regulations (e.g., NMLS, TRID), and ethical standards.
- Provide exceptional client service throughout the entire mortgage journey, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mortgage origination or a related financial sales role.
- Active NMLS registration and all required state licenses (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Proven track record of success in sales, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in mortgage loan origination software and CRM systems.
- Deep understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Established network of referral sources within the local real estate community.
- Experience with a diverse range of mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans.
- Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) or other relevant financial certifications.
