Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through proactive communication and personalized service.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses to understand clients' current financial situations, goals, and risk tolerance.
  • Design, implement, and monitor customized financial plans encompassing investment management, retirement planning, education funding, insurance, and estate planning strategies.
  • Educate clients on various financial products and services, making suitable recommendations based on their individual objectives.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow your client base through referrals, networking, and community involvement.
  • Manage client portfolios, executing trades and rebalancing investments as needed to align with financial plans and market conditions.
  • Stay informed about current market trends, economic conditions, and changes in financial regulations.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in full compliance with industry regulations and RBC policies.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists (e.g., estate planners, insurance specialists) to provide integrated solutions to clients.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) licenses are mandatory.
  • State Life, Health, and Accident Insurance licenses required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Financial Advisor or similar client-facing role in financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow a book of business.
  • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and wealth management strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High ethical standards and a strong commitment to client best interests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation or willingness to obtain.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MS Finance).
  • Existing transferable book of business.
  • Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales and service targets.
