Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior Quantity Surveyors with various aspects of cost control, procurement, and financial reporting.
  • Learn to review and accurately interpret project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
  • Support in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and contractual correspondence.
  • Assist with on-site measurements, progress valuations, and data collection to track project performance.
  • Participate actively in site visits to observe project progress, understand construction processes, and gain practical insights.
  • Help maintain precise cost records, project documentation, and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop a solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and associated costs.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.

Required Skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive attitude, high level of motivation, and eagerness to learn.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a project team.
  • A genuine passion for the construction industry and sustainable development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related technical field.
  • Familiarity with basic project management concepts and principles.
  • An understanding of Swedish construction regulations (Boverket) and industry standards is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software or similar is a plus.
