Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our manufacturing team in Sandviken for an immediate start. This critical role involves ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards before they reach our customers. You will be instrumental in maintaining product integrity, identifying potential defects, and implementing corrective actions in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
- Document and report quality inspection results, including non-conformances, and maintain accurate records in the quality management system.
- Collaborate with production teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for process optimization.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and support the maintenance of our ISO certifications.
- Provide feedback and training to production staff on quality requirements and best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control methodologies.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting technical drawings.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational education or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
