Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote QA Analyst to join our dynamic technology team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cutting-edge software applications and digital platforms. As a Remote QA Analyst, you will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders across various teams, working from your home office to define test strategies, create comprehensive test plans, execute meticulous test cases, and identify, document, and track defects. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of software development lifecycles, and a passion for delivering flawless user experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web, mobile, and backend applications.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs, ensuring they are resolved and retested effectively.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews, providing valuable quality insights.
- Design and implement automated test scripts where appropriate to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Monitor software quality metrics and report on testing progress and defect status.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Ensure adherence to established quality standards and project deadlines within a remote work setup.
Required Skills
- Proven work experience as a QA Analyst or Software Tester (3+ years).
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for remote collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and practices.
