As a Part-Time Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client service teams or internal finance functions, depending on your expertise and project needs. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial discrepancies.
- Support audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to resolve accounting issues and provide financial insights.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification or actively pursuing.
- Experience with a Big Four firm or large corporate accounting department.
