Key Responsibilities
- Execute audit procedures, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, under the supervision of senior team members.
- Analyze financial statements, general ledgers, and other financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare working papers and documentation in accordance with firm and regulatory standards.
- Perform substantive testing and tests of controls to evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Communicate effectively with client personnel to obtain necessary information and clarify audit findings.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and other deliverables for clients.
- Research and interpret accounting principles and auditing standards to resolve complex issues.
- Identify and communicate potential audit risks and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of audit engagements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of industry changes and best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, or a relevant financial role
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Experience with auditing software (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)
- Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
- Prior experience working with clients in diverse industries
- Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation
