Key Responsibilities
- Assist the publicity team in drafting, editing, and distributing press releases, media alerts, and artist bios.
- Conduct comprehensive media research to identify new contacts and pitching opportunities across print, digital, TV, and radio.
- Monitor and track daily media coverage, compiling press clips and creating coverage reports for artists and internal stakeholders.
- Support the coordination of press interviews, photo shoots, and other media-related events.
- Maintain and update media databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance of contact information.
- Provide administrative support to the publicity department, including scheduling, organizing files, and managing office supplies.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for PR strategies and artist campaign development.
- Assist with social media monitoring and content curation related to artist publicity efforts.
- Learn and utilize various PR tools and software to enhance efficiency and reporting.
- Attend team meetings and internal presentations to gain a holistic understanding of label operations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Music Business, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated passion for music and a solid understanding of current music industry trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) or CRM systems.
- Basic knowledge of AP Style.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in publicity.
- Prior internship experience in public relations, marketing, or entertainment.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, given the Miami market.
