Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted publicity campaigns for Dine Alone Records artists, focusing on the East Coast and Canadian markets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with print, digital, radio, and television media outlets, particularly in Atlantic Canada.
- Draft compelling press releases, media alerts, artist bios, and other promotional materials.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, press conferences, and media appearances for artists.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare comprehensive press clippings and reports for artists and management.
- Support the wider publicity team with administrative tasks, media list management, and campaign tracking.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional events, listening parties, and press junkets.
- Act as a liaison between artists, management, and media, ensuring clear communication and positive representation.
- Contribute to social media content strategy by identifying key press mentions and opportunities for artist engagement.
- Provide insights into the local media landscape and emerging trends in the Halifax and Atlantic Canadian music scene.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 24 months of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of securing media placements and building strong media relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR databases.
- Deep passion for music across various genres and a genuine understanding of the artist development process.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
