Job Description

Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a passion for driving complex, internationally focused initiatives? Mutual of Omaha is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager to lead our critical UK Sponsorship Program. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in overseeing all facets of a strategic program designed to facilitate various company objectives related to our operations or partnerships in the United Kingdom. This encompasses managing diverse projects from inception through successful completion, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance, budget constraints, and timeline targets. The successful candidate will navigate intricate stakeholder landscapes, including internal departments, external legal counsel, governmental bodies, and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all involved parties. You will be responsible for defining project scopes, developing comprehensive plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and reporting on progress to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of all projects under the UK Sponsorship Program, adhering to established project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with program objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans and escalating critical issues to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across project teams, stakeholders, and external partners, including UK regulatory bodies and legal advisors.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant UK immigration, employment, and business regulations pertinent to the sponsorship program.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and financial status to senior management and key stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and stakeholder expectations throughout the program lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program, optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager managing complex programs or projects (minimum 5 years).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving international stakeholders or regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating ambiguous situations.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Solid understanding of budget management and resource allocation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience with UK immigration or sponsorship processes, highly desirable.
