Job Description

Entreprise Générale Malta Forrest (EGMF) is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator – Task Scheduling to join our dynamic team in Lubao, Kasai Province. In this crucial role, you will be the linchpin for ensuring our projects stay on track, on time, and within scope by meticulously managing and optimizing task schedules. You will work closely with project managers, team leads, and various stakeholders to develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive project timelines. Your expertise will be vital in allocating resources efficiently, identifying potential bottlenecks, and proactively suggesting solutions to mitigate delays. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules and timelines using appropriate project management tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, and external stakeholders to define tasks, estimate durations, and sequence activities.
- Monitor project progress against the established schedule, identifying deviations and potential risks.
- Track and report on key milestones, critical path items, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate regular scheduling meetings and communicate schedule updates, changes, and impacts to all relevant parties.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure adequate personnel and equipment are available for scheduled tasks.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, or resource constraints.
- Support the project team in preparing project documentation, reports, and presentations related to scheduling and progress.
- Implement and maintain best practices for project scheduling and control within the organization.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Asana, Jira, Trello).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor complex schedules.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve scheduling issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure development sectors.
- Familiarity with local customs and working environment in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- Proficiency in Swahili or Tshiluba would be an advantage.
