As a Program Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of various health programs that directly contribute to our mission of lasting health change. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of assigned health programs, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of program proposals, work plans, budgets, and reports for various donors and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular field visits to program sites (as required) to provide technical support, monitor activities, and collect data.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings with program beneficiaries, community health workers, and local partners.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform program adjustments and measure impact.
  • Ensure proper documentation of program activities, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders, to foster collaboration and synergy.
  • Prepare compelling program progress reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Participate in relevant sector working groups and forums to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in public health.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Willingness to travel to program areas as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with community health systems in Kenya or East Africa.
  • Basic understanding of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) principles.
  • Experience with data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK).
  • Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Kiswahili) will be an added advantage.
