Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, including meticulous planning, robust execution, diligent monitoring, and comprehensive evaluation. You will work closely with our community engagement team, local stakeholders, and funding partners to identify emerging needs, secure necessary resources, and produce compelling reports on outcomes and impact. This position requires someone who is not only exceptionally detail-oriented and organized but also an outstanding communicator and proactive problem-solver, capable of navigating complex challenges with creativity and resilience. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of assigned community programs, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and funder requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive funding applications, proposals, and grant reports to secure and maintain project funding.
- Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with program beneficiaries, volunteers, local community groups, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular impact assessments and data collection, analyzing results to inform program improvements and reporting.
- Contribute to the identification of new community needs and the development of innovative program ideas.
- Ensure all program activities comply with relevant regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices.
- Represent Bestwood Partnership at community meetings, events, and with external partners as required.
- Support the Head of Operations in strategic planning and overall organizational development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in program or project management, preferably within the NGO or charity sector.
- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and proposal development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to community development and a passion for social impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, International Development, Public Administration, or Project Management.
- Experience working directly with community groups and diverse populations.
- Knowledge of local community issues and resources within Bestwood, Nottingham.
