Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly motivated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our state-of-the-art facility in Subang Jaya. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and optimize the activities of all production personnel on assigned shifts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and smooth workflow.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules are met efficiently and effectively, adhering strictly to output targets and deadlines.
- Monitor production output, product quality, and scrap rates meticulously, implementing immediate corrective actions and robust preventative measures as required.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment at all times, ensuring strict compliance with all company safety policies, industry regulations, and occupational health standards.
- Conduct regular checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance, proactively identifying and arranging for timely maintenance or repairs.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production operators, fostering skill development, promoting teamwork, and supporting individual career growth.
- Implement and rigorously enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all production lines to ensure product integrity.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and machine breakdowns promptly, employing root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve product quality, and lower operational costs.
- Prepare comprehensive daily production reports, meticulously documenting output, downtime, material usage, and other relevant operational metrics for management review.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Logistics to optimize overall plant performance and foster cross-functional synergy.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) in a supervisory role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food & Beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methodologies, and industrial safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Proficient in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making under pressure to resolve operational challenges.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Food Technology, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience specifically in the Food & Beverage manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for production planning and inventory management.
