Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment efficiently and safely, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform routine quality checks on products at various stages of the production process, ensuring adherence to strict quality specifications.
- Conduct minor preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Accurately record production data, including output, downtime, and quality control parameters.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production targets and resolve operational challenges.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance operational efficiency and personal development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or its equivalent in Engineering or related technical field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to operate complex machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced production setting.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the beverage or food industry.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
- Technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields.
