Job Description
We are seeking a highly creative and user-focused Product Designer to join our rapidly expanding Digital Products team at Ooredoo Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about crafting exceptional digital experiences and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end design process of our diverse range of digital products, from initial concept and user research through to high-fidelity prototyping and final implementation. You will be responsible for understanding user needs, translating them into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces, and ensuring a seamless user journey across all our platforms.
Your work will directly impact millions of users in Qatar, influencing how they connect, communicate, and engage with our services. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product strategy, contribute to design systems, and ensure design consistency and quality. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Translate user research insights and business requirements into wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes that define the user experience.
- Design intuitive, elegant, and engaging user interfaces (UI) for various digital products, including mobile applications (iOS/Android) and web platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define product features, priorities, and overall strategy.
- Work alongside Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
- Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all products.
- Iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, data analytics, and stakeholder input.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of work in user experience and user interface design.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability heuristics.
- Excellent visual design skills with an eye for detail and a strong sense of typography, color, and layout.
- Ability to communicate design concepts and justify decisions effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience with conducting user research and usability testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in the telecommunications or digital services industry.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in motion graphics or animation for UI elements.
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineers.
