Job Description

As a Producer, you will be the driving force behind the development, execution, and delivery of high-quality multimedia content across our diverse platforms. You will bridge the gap between creative vision and practical implementation, overseeing projects from conception through to final delivery. This involves everything from brainstorming innovative content ideas, scripting, and talent management, to scheduling shoots, managing budgets, and coordinating with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders including directors, editors, graphic designers, technical crews, and on-screen talent.
Your day-to-day will be anything but monotonous. You’ll be instrumental in developing engaging narratives, ensuring content aligns with our brand values and strategic objectives, and resonates deeply with our target audiences. You will lead pre-production planning, ensuring all resources are in place and timelines are met. During production, you will be the central point of contact, problem-solving on the fly and ensuring smooth operations. Post-production will see you guiding the editing process, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring final deliverables meet our stringent quality standards and are ready for broadcast or digital publication.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of diverse multimedia content from inception to completion.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery of all content.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal teams (e.g., editorial, production, technical) and external partners (e.g., freelancers, talent, vendors).
- Oversee all phases of production including pre-production planning, on-set supervision, and post-production workflows.
- Ensure all content adheres to RJR Communications Group’s quality standards, brand guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Develop detailed production schedules, call sheets, and other essential production documents.
- Conduct research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and authenticity of content.
- Identify and resolve production challenges proactively, maintaining a flexible and problem-solving approach.
- Provide creative input and constructive feedback to enhance content quality and audience engagement.
- Monitor industry trends and innovative production techniques to keep our content fresh and competitive.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in content production, media coordination, or a similar role.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex multimedia projects from start to finish.
- Proficiency with production management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of video and audio production workflows, including editing and graphic design principles.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative visions and coordinate diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience motivating and guiding creative professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Production, Film Studies, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience working within the Jamaican media landscape or producing content related to Caribbean culture and heritage.
- Familiarity with various broadcast and digital distribution platforms.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or a related discipline.
