As a Procurement Clerk, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks from initiating purchase requisitions, coordinating with vendors, to ensuring accurate inventory records within our warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate purchase requisitions and orders for materials, supplies, and services based on departmental needs and inventory levels.
  • Source and obtain competitive quotes from various vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data in procurement systems.
  • Assist in the administration and management of vendor relationships, including performance evaluation and contract adherence.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to receive, inspect, and document incoming goods, ensuring they match purchase orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist in stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate warehouse records.
  • Prepare and process invoices for payment, ensuring all documentation is complete and approved.
  • Provide general administrative support to the procurement and warehouse departments, including filing, data entry, and report generation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory standards.
  • Assist in resolving issues related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or billing errors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and warehouse functions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Clerk, Purchasing Assistant, or similar role (minimum 2 years).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
