Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement-related documents.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data in the procurement system.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and invoice discrepancies.
- Help manage vendor relationships, including researching potential suppliers and evaluating performance.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation to ensure adequate supplies are always available.
- Support the negotiation of favorable terms and pricing with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement staff.
- Ensure compliance with Bayhealth's purchasing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their supply needs and facilitate timely acquisitions.
- Assist with resolving supply chain issues, such as delivery delays or quality concerns.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process improvement efforts within the supply chain department.
