As a Procurement and Logistics Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting our supply chain operations, which are critical to our success. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support the sourcing and evaluation of new suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards for all incoming materials and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including bids, proposals, contracts, and comprehensive supplier information within our systems.
- Monitor inventory levels of critical supplies and raw materials, assisting in coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely availability and prevent operational disruptions.
- Track the movement of goods from suppliers to destination, ensuring compliance with shipping schedules, customs regulations, and international trade policies.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and freight forwarders to optimize transportation routes and methods, aiming for maximum cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Help resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and supplier performance, escalating complex problems to senior officers when necessary.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices in procurement and logistics, actively seeking opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors to foster strong, collaborative working relationships.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement and logistics activities, including spend analysis, delivery performance metrics, and compliance adherence.
Required Skills
