Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet established specifications and standards.
- Adjust machine settings, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Load raw materials and unload finished products, ensuring proper material handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, output, and quality data.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, P&G standards, and regulatory requirements, including Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to optimize production.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects, to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 18 months of experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing/production role.
- Demonstrated ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex production machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proven problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and production schedules accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and unwavering commitment to product quality and safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, record-keeping, and accessing digital work instructions.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field is a significant asset.
- Experience in the consumer goods, food & beverage, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment.
- Experience with automated control systems (e.g., PLCs) or HMI interfaces.
