Key Responsibilities
- Perform essential mise en place tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and dicing a variety of fruits, vegetables, and other food items according to recipe specifications.
- Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks such as preparing sauces, stocks, and marinades, under direct supervision.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately for various recipes, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
- Organize and store food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment properly, following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all surfaces, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and in excellent working condition throughout the shift.
- Support the culinary team during peak service periods, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards set by the company and local authorities.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless coordination and teamwork.
- Monitor inventory levels of prepared ingredients and inform chefs or kitchen managers of any shortages.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.

- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
