Key Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas within Jikwoyi, Abuja, to maintain high visibility, deter criminal activity, and respond promptly to reported incidents.
- Respond swiftly to emergency calls and non-emergency requests for assistance, including but not limited to disturbances, accidents, and reports of criminal activity.
- Conduct thorough initial investigations at crime scenes, accurately collect and preserve evidence, interview witnesses and victims, and compile detailed, factual reports.
- Enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic accidents, manage crowd control during public events, and ensure smooth traffic flow.
- Apprehend and arrest suspects, strictly adhering to legal procedures and ensuring all due process rights are respected.
- Testify professionally and credibly in court as needed, providing accurate and unbiased accounts of incidents and investigations.
- Engage actively with the local community to build trust, address specific local concerns, and promote effective crime prevention strategies.
- Provide compassionate assistance and comprehensive support to victims of crime and individuals experiencing distress.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records of all activities, incidents, and ongoing investigations.
- Adhere strictly to all police policies, procedures, regulations, and legal guidelines set forth by the Nigeria Police Force and the laws of Nigeria.
