Key Responsibilities

  • Curate, update, and manage a diverse portfolio of playlists across various digital streaming platforms, ensuring freshness and relevance.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of music rights, licensing, and platform-specific guidelines.
  • Provide regular reports on playlist performance, audience engagement, and cultural impact.
  • Act as a tastemaker and advocate for diverse musical talent, contributing to UMG’s commitment to artistic and cultural diversity.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in music curation, A&R, or digital content management within the music industry.
  • Demonstrable deep passion for and encyclopedic knowledge of multiple music genres, both mainstream and niche.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Spotify for Artists, Chartmetric, internal analytics platforms) to interpret listener behavior and trends.
  • Strong understanding of digital streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.) and their respective ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Proven ability to identify and anticipate musical trends and artist potential.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
