Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various conditions.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Apply physical modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under supervision.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in their condition, reporting findings to the Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and strategies for independent function.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper functioning of rehabilitation equipment and treatment areas.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, institutional policies, and professional standards of practice.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients, fostering trust and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and ambulation, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Required Skills

  • Diploma or Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (or equivalent qualification recognized in Italy)
  • Proficiency in Italian, both written and spoken
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent observational and documentation skills
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercises

Preferred Qualifications
