Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various conditions.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
- Apply physical modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation under supervision.
- Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in their condition, reporting findings to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and strategies for independent function.
- Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and proper functioning of rehabilitation equipment and treatment areas.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, institutional policies, and professional standards of practice.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients, fostering trust and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and ambulation, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (or equivalent qualification recognized in Italy)
- Proficiency in Italian, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent observational and documentation skills
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercises
- Commitment to patient safety and ethical practice
Preferred Qualifications
