Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our esteemed multidisciplinary team at Matilda International Hospital. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their physical condition, limitations, and functional goals.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physical therapy treatment plans, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other specialized treatments as appropriate.
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, home exercise programs, and preventative measures.
- Monitor patient progress, document findings accurately, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development activities.
- Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide clear and concise communication with patients regarding their progress and prognosis.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-registration clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Demonstrated proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of physical conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization or advanced certification in a specific area of physical therapy (e.g., orthopaedics, neurology, sports rehabilitation).
- Experience working in a private hospital setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
