Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a personal vehicle for the efficient pick-up and delivery of packages, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and UPS's stringent safety guidelines.
- Methodically sort and load packages into the personal vehicle in optimal delivery sequence, meticulously planning and optimizing routes for timely and accurate completion.
- Execute the delivery and pick-up of packages to and from residential and commercial customers within a clearly defined service area throughout Barrie, Ontario.
- Accurately obtain customer signatures and provide verifiable proof of delivery as required, maintaining precise electronic delivery records.
- Engage professionally and courteously with all customers, proactively addressing inquiries, and skillfully resolving any delivery-related issues or concerns.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the personal vehicle, promptly reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.
- Handle all packages with the utmost care, ensuring they are delivered undamaged and securely to their intended recipients.
- Effectively manage time to consistently meet delivery deadlines and adapt seamlessly to fluctuating package volumes and dynamic routing demands.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those pertaining to safety, security, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills
- Valid G Class Driver's License (or equivalent) held for at least 12 consecutive months.
- Demonstrable clean driving record (abstract will be required) with no moving violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) independently.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and superior interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational aptitude and proven time management abilities.
- Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle (car, van, or SUV) suitable for continuous package delivery, with adequate insurance coverage.
- Comfortable working proactively in diverse weather conditions and readily adapting to changing route demands and traffic patterns.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanning devices and navigating efficiently using GPS or mapping applications.

- Prior professional experience in a delivery driver role or courier service.
