Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on manufacturing machinery.
- Perform timely and effective repairs, including component replacement, calibration, and adjustments, to minimize downtime.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or production staff as required.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Required Skills
- Minimum of OND/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, PLC basics, and industrial wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Professional certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical trades.
- Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS software.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with high-speed packaging or bottling lines.
- PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting skills (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
