Key Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on production equipment, utility systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on manufacturing machinery.
  • Perform timely and effective repairs, including component replacement, calibration, and adjustments, to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or production staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Required Skills

  • Minimum of OND/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food and beverage.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, motor controls, PLC basics, and industrial wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical trades.
  • Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS software.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging or bottling lines.
  • PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting skills (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
