Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers to meet production schedules.
- Conduct quality checks on products throughout the production cycle, ensuring adherence to PepsiCo's quality standards.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
- Record production data, including output, downtime, and material usage accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to optimize production efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations promptly to supervision.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment (minimum 1-2 years).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or production schematics.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) as required.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Forklift certification or experience.
- Post-secondary education or technical training in a related field.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
