Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers to meet production schedules.
  • Conduct quality checks on products throughout the production cycle, ensuring adherence to PepsiCo's quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
  • Record production data, including output, downtime, and material usage accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to optimize production efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety programs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality deviations promptly to supervision.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment (minimum 1-2 years).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or production schematics.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends) as required.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Forklift certification or experience.
  • Post-secondary education or technical training in a related field.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
