As an HR Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day administration of HR policies, programs, and procedures. You will be the first point of contact for employee inquiries, assisting with everything from benefits questions to onboarding logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive initial experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general employment matters.
- Support talent acquisition efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment checks.
- Assist in the coordination of HR programs and events, such as training sessions, employee engagement activities, and performance reviews.
- Generate HR reports and analytics as needed to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Assist with employee relations activities, including gathering information and documentation.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive engagement and support.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS), experience with Workday preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization.
- Familiarity with Maine state employment laws and regulations.
- Experience supporting HR functions in the consumer goods or manufacturing industry.
