Key Responsibilities

  • Operate various material handling equipment, including counterbalance, reach, and order picker forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation and inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport products, raw materials, and finished goods to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by correctly scanning and documenting movements of materials using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or manual logs.
  • Participate in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations (e.g., WHMIS, safe lifting practices).
  • Ensure the warehouse environment remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse associates, team leads, and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily operational targets.
  • Identify and report any damaged products or equipment.
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as required, contributing to overall team productivity.

Required Skills

  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance, Reach, Order Picker) in Ontario.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Proficient understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work (e.g., standing, walking, bending for extended periods).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and WMS interaction.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work site in Burlington.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with SAP or other advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience working in a food & beverage or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
