Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver PepsiCo products to assigned customer locations.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper handling of products.
- Verify product counts against invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and collect payments where required.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal driving regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicles and ensure proper storage and rotation of products.
- Manage inventory on the truck and at customer sites, ensuring optimal stock levels and presentation.
- Complete daily delivery logs, route sheets, and other required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing PepsiCo's brand image positively at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 (CDL) driver's license with air brake endorsement, as required for the vehicle type.
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and paperwork.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a direct store delivery (DSD) environment.
- Familiarity with the Northwest Territories road network and geographical considerations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle checks.
- Experience operating hand trucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
