Key Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Deliver a variety of PepsiCo products to designated retail locations, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks using appropriate equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks) while following safety protocols.
  • Verify product counts, collect payments (where applicable), and reconcile invoices with customers.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest, and other required documentation.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel and customers, acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Ensure proper product rotation and merchandising standards are met at delivery points, when required.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including those related to food handling and personal protective equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding delivery status and potential issues.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement (or equivalent for Quebec)
  • Clean driving record for at least 3 years, verifiable through a motor vehicle abstract.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs consistently) and perform repetitive movements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order delivery and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory verification and payment reconciliation.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in commercial driving or direct store delivery (DSD) within the CPG industry.
  • Experience operating forklifts or electric pallet jacks (certification an asset).
  • Familiarity with Longueuil and surrounding Quebec routes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is a strong asset.
