Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for Israeli employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Verify and input employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits deductions, and time-off requests into the payroll system.
- Reconcile payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues under supervision.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
- Support the preparation of payroll-related reports for internal and external audits.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to payroll.
- Research and stay updated on changes in Israeli payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions in a professional and timely manner.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the payroll function.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas).
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Fluent in Hebrew and English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in an accounting or administrative role.
- Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Priority, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Israeli labor laws and tax regulations related to payroll.
- Certification in Payroll Accounting (חשב/ת שכר) or in progress.
