Job Description
De-Unique Fashion House is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pattern Maker to join our dynamic production team in Obio-Akpor, Port Harcourt. This pivotal role requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and the ability to translate conceptual designs into precise, production-ready patterns. As a Pattern Maker, you will be instrumental in the entire design-to-production lifecycle, ensuring that our creative visions are accurately brought to life with impeccable fit and quality.
You will work closely with our design team to interpret sketches and design specifications, transforming them into foundational patterns that adhere to our brand’s aesthetic and sizing standards. Your expertise will cover both manual pattern drafting and potentially digital pattern making (CAD), enabling flexibility and efficiency in our workflow. A significant part of your responsibility will involve creating first patterns, developing samples, and conducting fittings to refine the garment’s silhouette, drape, and overall fit. You will also be responsible for pattern grading, adjusting base patterns to create various sizes while maintaining design integrity and fit consistency across all sizes.
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of different fabric types, their properties, and how they interact with various pattern styles and garment constructions. You will be expected to advise designers on the feasibility of designs from a technical patterning perspective, suggesting modifications to optimize production processes and enhance garment quality. Furthermore, you will maintain meticulous records of all patterns, revisions, and specifications, ensuring a well-organized and accessible pattern library. This role demands a proactive problem-solver who can identify potential issues early in the development process and implement effective solutions. If you are passionate about precision, committed to quality, and eager to contribute to a thriving fashion brand, we encourage you to apply.
