Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts, using appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
- Sort and scan incoming and outgoing packages, ensuring accurate routing and identification.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Operate manual and powered equipment safely and efficiently, after receiving proper training.
- Adhere strictly to all UPS safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Verify package counts and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Assist with other tasks as required to support warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (32 kg) unassisted and perform physical tasks that involve bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical role.
- Familiarity with scanning technology or warehouse management systems.
- Hold a valid driving licence (preferred but not essential).
