Join the dynamic team at FedEx Ground as a Part-Time Sortation Associate in our Las Vegas, Nevada facility. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload packages from vehicles, containers, and conveyor belts.
- Accurately scan package labels and sort them into designated locations based on destination.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, to prevent injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards and contribute to overall team goals.
- Verify package information against manifests or scanning systems to ensure accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the sortation process.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted, and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and handling packages.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic comprehension of English for safety instructions and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
