Key Responsibilities
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicle components and panels.
- Accurately assess vehicle damage and identify appropriate repair methods.
- Perform panel beating, filler work, and body alignment using various hand tools and specialist equipment.
- Execute welding, grinding, and fabrication tasks to restore vehicle bodywork.
- Measure and realign vehicle chassis and body structures using jigs and pulling equipment.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with paint technicians, estimators, and other workshop staff.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Continuously update knowledge on new repair techniques and vehicle technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater in an automotive repair environment.
- Expertise in various panel repair techniques, including filler work and dent removal.
- Proficiency in MIG/MAG welding and spot welding.
- Ability to use body alignment and jigging equipment accurately.
- Strong understanding of vehicle body structures and repair processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair or equivalent qualification.
- ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) in Panel Repair.
- Experience with specific manufacturer repair processes (e.g., VAG, BMW, Mercedes-Benz).
- Full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle technologies and materials (e.g., aluminium, high-strength steel).
