Job Description
Are you a master of metal, a sculptor of steel, with an unwavering commitment to precision and perfection? Mandilas Group Plc, a pioneer in Nigeria’s automotive industry, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our dynamic body workshop team in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to ply their trade with a reputable organization that values craftsmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction above all else.
As a Panel Beater in our state-of-the-art facility, you will be instrumental in restoring damaged vehicles to their pristine, pre-accident condition. Your expertise will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our customers’ vehicles but, more importantly, ensure their structural integrity and safety are fully restored. We are looking for an individual who takes immense pride in their work, possesses an eagle eye for detail, and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality bodywork repairs.
Your day-to-day will involve a comprehensive range of tasks, from minor dent removal and scratch repair to major structural rectifications following severe collisions. You will be expected to expertly assess vehicle damage, plan repair strategies, and execute them flawlessly using a variety of sophisticated tools and techniques. This includes traditional panel beating methods, advanced welding (MIG, TIG, spot welding), metal fabrication, chassis and frame straightening, and meticulous preparation of surfaces for painting. You’ll work with different types of materials, including steel, aluminium, and composite materials, ensuring each repair meets manufacturer specifications and Mandilas’ stringent quality controls.
Collaboration is key in our workshop. You will work closely with other technicians, spray painters, and service advisors, communicating effectively to ensure a seamless repair process and timely delivery. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is paramount to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. We encourage continuous learning and provide opportunities to stay updated with the latest automotive repair technologies and methodologies. If you are passionate about automotive bodywork, thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment, and are ready to contribute your skills to a leading automotive service provider, we invite you to apply.
