We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painter – Building & Decoration Specialist to join our dynamic team in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, scraping, and removal of old paint.
- Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, shellacs, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
- Apply primers, sealers, and topcoats to ensure long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing results.
- Erect scaffolding, movable platforms, and ladders as needed to complete tasks safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Calculate material and time requirements for each project.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and disposal of materials.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Painter in building and decoration.
- Excellent knowledge of painting techniques and procedures.
- Proficiency in surface preparation methods.
- Familiarity with various types of paints, varnishes, and finishing materials.
- Ability to work accurately with measuring tools and perform basic calculations.
